Exciting Upgrades Expected for the Galaxy S25 FE

In 2017, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note FE, marking its first foray into the Fan Edition (FE) market. However, it wasn’t until the release of the Galaxy S20 FE in 2020 that the company truly began to establish a modern FE lineup. Now, as we look ahead, anticipation is building for the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE.

While details about the device are still limited, several leaks have started to surface, offering a glimpse into what might be in store. Among the most anticipated improvements is an upgrade to the charging capabilities, which remains a notable gap in even Samsung’s most premium devices.

Enhanced Battery Capacity and Charging Speeds

Recent reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 FE will feature a larger battery than its predecessor. Although the increase is modest—just 200mAh—the 4,900mAh capacity is expected to offer improved endurance. This is particularly significant when compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which only has a slightly larger battery at 5,000mAh.

The phone is also set to bring some major improvements in charging speeds. The Galaxy S25 FE will reportedly support 45W wired charging, a feature that even the Galaxy Z Fold 7, one of Samsung’s more expensive models, lacks. This development highlights a shift in priorities, as the high-end foldable device only supports 25W charging despite its premium price point.

In addition to faster charging, the Galaxy S25 FE will be powered by the Exynos 2400 processor, a higher-binned version of last year’s Exynos 2400e. This should provide a noticeable performance boost over the S24 FE model.

A More Efficient Display

Samsung is known for producing top-tier displays, and the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to continue this tradition. While the screen size will remain at 6.7 inches, several key upgrades are anticipated:

  • FHD+ resolution for sharper visuals
  • 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations
  • LTPO technology, which was notably absent from the S24 FE
  • Gorilla Glass Victus+ for enhanced durability

The inclusion of LTPO technology is particularly important, as it allows the display to dynamically adjust its refresh rate. This means the screen can drop down to as low as 1Hz when not in use, significantly improving power efficiency and extending battery life.

Design Improvements

Despite these advanced features, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to maintain a slim and lightweight design. It will measure just 7.4mm in thickness and weigh 190g, both of which represent significant improvements over the previous model. This suggests that Samsung is making a concerted effort to balance performance with portability, ensuring the device remains user-friendly while delivering powerful hardware.

Final Thoughts

As we await the official announcement of the Galaxy S25 FE, the leaked details paint a promising picture. With enhancements in battery life, charging speed, and display technology, the device is poised to deliver a compelling experience for fans and tech enthusiasts alike. Whether it will live up to the expectations remains to be seen, but the early signs are certainly encouraging.
